Chatsworth represents a refined response to a challenging sloping site, where architectural ingenuity and environmental sensitivity intersect. Designed as a dual-occupancy development, the project embraces the site’s natural topography through thoughtful planning, allowing the dwellings to step gently with the land rather than impose upon it.

A comprehensive site analysis—including soil, drainage, and compliance studies—formed the foundation of the design strategy. This informed a construction approach that utilised minimal cut-and-fill, elevated structures, and strategic retaining elements to achieve structural integrity, stability, and visual balance across the site.

Externally, the façade combines light grey brickwork with black and concrete render, creating contrast and depth. Sleek black metal cladding and a battened aluminium garage door add texture and rhythm, resulting in a striking architectural form that enhances the streetscape. Expansive glazing captures natural light and amplifies the sense of openness throughout both residences.

Internally, the palette reflects understated sophistication—stone benchtops, venetian plaster, and porcelain tiles establish a sense of material richness and cohesion. Each dwelling has been designed with practicality and comfort in mind, balancing refined finishes with robust functionality suitable for modern living.
