The Harker St project involved a two-dwelling redevelopment within Heritage Overlay, requiring a careful response to the established neighbourhood character. The project included the demolition of existing structures to allow for two contemporary double-storey homes designed to integrate sensitively with the heritage streetscape.
The proposal balanced modern living needs with heritage controls by managing building scale, form and materiality. A new vehicle crossover for Dwelling 02 was strategically located to minimise visual impact, ensuring the overall development remained respectful and contextually appropriate.
