The Drummond St project centred on a planning application for a new childcare centre on a site containing a significant Federation-era dwelling and later additions. The proposal required a sensitive approach to heritage, ensuring that the building’s key architectural elements were retained and appropriately integrated into the new use. CKA studio managed the full town planning process—from preparing the application to representing the project through mediation and ultimately VCAT—resulting in a planning permit and a successful outcome for the client.
