The Church St project encompossed a planning application for a multi-storey mixed-use development comprising a café and office uses, with approval sought for a reduction in statutory car parking requirements. Although the land uses themselves did not require a permit, the project required a thorough planning assessment to ensure the proposal responded appropriately to its high-activity urban context. The development was designed to reinforce the precinct’s character, improve streetscape activation, and support the continued vitality of the surrounding commercial area.
