Saxby Road presents a carefully considered dual-occupancy development within one of Glen Iris’s established streets. Positioned to capture views across the neighbouring park, the design balances a contemporary expression with a restrained approach that respects the surrounding residential character.

The architecture is organised across three clear layers. At ground level, a tan brick base anchors the development to the site, giving it a sense of permanence and connection to the streetscape. The brickwork introduces warmth and texture, helping the building sit comfortably within its neighbourhood. Above, a wraparound awning forms a planted terrace with a green roof, softening the built form and creating a visual link to the parkland beyond.

A refined metal-clad upper level completes the composition, sitting lightly above the brick base. Its crisp detailing introduces contrast while maintaining a calm and balanced overall form. Carefully placed openings and full-height glazing bring natural light into the interiors and frame views of the surrounding greenery.
