The Maronite Community Centre project consisted of a large, modern extension to the previously established community building. Contemporary in its design, it was a significant upgrade to the cultural building next to it, allowing for a 500 seat capacity function space and commercial grade kitchen to service the guests.

Materials were kept modern and raw, responding to its direct context in Thornbury. Full-height, tessellated windows wrap the building, allowing plenty of natural light to penetrate. Overall, the design offers a response to the community requirements and fosters a hub of cultural events and gatherings.
